We all know that taking anti-inflammatories is hard on your stomach, liver, kidneys and many more things.
Some new information on is out on NSAIDS, (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). NSAIDs include Aspirin, indomethacin (Indocin), ibuprofen (Motrin), naproxen (Naprosyn), piroxicam (Feldene), and nabumetone (Relafen). "
"NSAIDs are fine if you just use them to control inflammation and pain for 3 or 4 days after injury," Dr. Warden noted. "But our findings suggest that you should get off of them as soon as you can because they can impair ligament healing."
For people still experiencing pain beyond 3 or 4 days, Dr. Warden recommended the use of acetaminophen.

I literally have some patients who have taken anti-inflammatories for years. Why do most people take these drugs?, the most common answer is (1) my Doctor prescribed them to me or (2) that everyone knows to take anti-inflammatories if they have some kind of muscle pain, headache etc.
As a healthcare professional my job is to educate my patients; I am not telling you to stop taking your pain medication; I am just giving you the facts. These facts are mostly from medical journals written by medical doctors, not Chiropractors.
The more facts you have regarding your healthcare the better decisions you can make.
